Approximately 2 hours from New York City by car or train, Pine Plains is a quiet and beautiful town right on the border of Dutchess and Columbia counties. A 3-minute drive from the house you’ll find a gorgeous collection of lakes and two incredible hikes. The town of Pine Plains has a grocery store, several restaurants and bars, and fantastic vintage/art shopping. We are also 15 minutes west of Millerton, 20 minutes east of Rhinebeck and Red Hook, and 30 minutes south of Hudson if you’re looking for a little more adventure. Catamount Mountain Resort is 30 minutes away for skiing and tubing.
